Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced since 2500 BCE. It consists of the use of small metal needles that are inserted into the skin following the Yin and Yang points of the 12 main meridians. Each meridian is connected to a major organ and has energy, known as Qi, that flows directly through them. Acupuncture allows there to be balance and harmony between the Yin and Yang organs as well as Qi within the body. When the needles are inserted into the acupuncture points, they stimulate the natural healing abilities of the body and help with both physical and mental well-being. Some benefits of acupuncture are pain management and relief, reduced inflammation, stress relief, improved sleep and mental clarity, etc.
Chiropractic adjustments when performed with acupuncture can provide patients with a natural and holistic way to relieve pain while also improving function of the nervous system. Therefore, the combination of the two has numerous benefits for overall improved well-being. Common complaints seen in our office that chiropractic and acupuncture may help with are chronic neck and/or low back pain, sciatica, headaches, vertigo, sinus issues, and extremity pain. Feel free to call our office if you have any questions or concerns regarding the use of acupuncture before booking your appointment.

Testimonials
"I have had low back pain for years. I have been to several different chiropractors in the past and Dr. Girtz really listened to me. She gave me exercises, stretches, and nutritional advice to do outside of her office to prevent this from happening in the future and keep me from coming back to her every week. I would recommend Dr. Girtz to anyone suffering with back pain."
